The healing resources I bring to support you with are:

Maya healing techniques include massage techniques, healing ceremonies, herbal baths, incense/smudging, herbal treatments, foods, and vaginal steams. I am fully certified in Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal/Uterine Massage, an external, non-invasive manipulation with the hands to reposition reproductive organs that have shifted, thereby restricting the flow of blood, lymph, nerve & prana. Such uterine displacement & resulting constriction and congestion can cause many of our common female complaints as well as a host of seemingly unrelated ailments. This Abdominal/Uterine massage is an ancient treatment that has been known & practiced by healers for thousands of years & represents an unbroken chain of knowledge handed down from generation to generation of midwives, healers and shamans. These techniques assist the vital flow of fluids & energy to nourish and repair the organs and systems of the body. In the individual session I will find what is there, massage for balance & flow and use techniques to promote healthy circulation, as well as teach you self massage techniques. Emotional release and spiritual transformation may be part of this healing work, with the help of prayers, incense & plants, using techniques Miss Beatrice has taught me.

Ayurveda is an ancient healing system which comes from India. It is the "veda" or knowledge of "ayus", life & longevity. Treatments include lifestyle, dietary, herbal, marma energy points, massage, and purification techniques. Pulse reading allows us to tune in to the subtle,early conditions of imbalance and then treat them in the more subtler ways before they solidify into more physical , harder to change, form. This ayurveda is more about helping the body find its own way to heal any problems by creating balance, than about treating specific diseases. We move towards you knowing intuitively what’s right for your body. The daily routines, environment, thoughts, and eating habits you have are the strongest influences on your balance -- or imbalance. Through learning, support & gaining in clarity, you will know & be more able to follow what is healthy for you at any given time. I also teach ayurvedic self care classes.

Reiki is a system of using Universal Life Energy which is focused by someone who has been initiated (Level I, II &/or Master) and consciously uses it. It involves hands - on or at-a-distance healing for physical or emotional imbalances or injuries. Reiki has a generally immediate relaxing effect, besides offering extra energy to balance or heal as the body sees fit. It's great for building when depleted or stressed, besides treating specific problems the body is dealing with. Repeated treatment works best for chronic conditions, while acute problems may be helped with one treatment. You don’t have to believe in it for it to work. I can also initiate people in Reiki.

Flower essences are provide subtle energy for emotional or physical healing. They are made by sunlight beaming through flowers, thus reorganizing pure spring water into the vibrational quality of the flower. It is then preserved w/ a small amount of brandy. We choose your essences together using intuitive methods. I also teach classes on making flower essences.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

I am a healer & teacher, not a physician, and will refer you to an appropriate person if you are beyond my skills. . Ayurveda is not yet licensed in this state. I no longer attend childbirths, but still help pregnant women & hold my midwifery license.

• Reiki Master: Level I, Apr.10,1994 & Level II, Sept.27, 1994 with Helen J Haberly; Master Level Initiation, Jan. 9, 1998 with Ananda Seabourne, continued Master Level Teaching training June, 1999. Practicing/Teaching Reiki Master.
  
• Maya Healer: Apprenticeship with Miss Beatrice Waight, Mayan traditional healer, midwife & shaman learning Maya spiritual healing, massage & herbal techniques, focusing on women’s health, completed March 2003.
  
• Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage-certified professional therapist, practicing since Fall 2002 - I apprenticed with Rosita Arvigo, DN who apprenticed 12 years in Belize with Don Elijio Ponti, a renowned Maya healer. She also shared knowledge of herbal tinctures of great use, rescued from the rainforest and mayan spiritual healing techniquest.
  
• Registered Midwife: State of Colorado current More than 250 births experience over 15 yrs practice. Trained 2 practicing midwives through apprenticeship & taught over 100 students in midwifery study course I’ve offered since 1987. Completed Informed Homebirth Teacher Training, 1981.
  
• Colorado Midwives Association Midwifery Certification Program: 1986. Includes midwifery apprenticeship: 2 years with an experienced midwife - 49 births w/ their prenatals, labor & birth,& pp care; 3 levels of testing &other requirments.
  
• Flower essences: self study, Spring, 1994-on-going. 2hr worshop, CMA mtg, Sept, 1996; Creating flower essences workshop w/ Alakananda Devi, one day, Fall, 1999.

How This Health Practice Works

• Health survey: Your initial consultation( 1 1/2 hours) will be a time to delve into your history, your current state of health, & the vision of health towards which you wish to move. I’ll ask questions & do examination. We discuss your needs & preferences for modalities to be included in your care.
  
• Regular follow-up: Subsequent followups (1 hr) can happen according to your condition & the modalities you are using. For example you may have several daily Reiki treatments for an intensive program or receive them weekly or monthly. Maya Abdominal Massage happens according to your needs—possibly weekly for a brief time, then monthly or quarterly for check ins. Ayurveda follow-ups may be monthly or just when your state changes or the season/ weather changes (and thus you may need a new regime). Herbs can be renewed as needed -- changes may be necessary according to condition and may necessitate a followup visit.
  
• Focus visit: When necessary, a simple 1 hr visit focused on Maya massage, reiki or specific simple ayurvedic concern. Must be pre-approved for this purpose.

I refer ayurvedic cases beyond my scope to Nita Desai, MD who is also trained in Ayurveda.

Rosita Arvigo, Doctor of Napropathy is available for me to consult about Maya Abdominal Massage concerns. Miss Beatrice Waight is my Maya Healing teacher & I can consult when needed,

Sessions are $75/hour

The intake visit is 1 ½ hrs at $108

Reduced rates with prior approval for special circumstances.

Pregnant women can receive visits at $60/hour

3 sessions @ $70/hour = $210
5 sessions @ $65/hour = $325
10 sessions @ $60/hour = $600
